SchoolHouse Connection Scholarship program: deadline November 8, 2017. The SHC Youth Leadership and Scholarship Program provides scholarships and support to youth who have experienced homelessness and are entering college for the first time, to ensure their completion of a post-secondary education program. This year, we will offer at least ten scholarships of $2,000 each; travel and expenses paid for all recipients to a national awards ceremony and a second gathering in Washington DC, two years after the initial scholarship award; and on-going mentoring through their post-secondary careers. New Scholarship Info added 10/06/17:
The Plumbers, Steamfitters, & HVAC Service Technicians Local 440 J.A.T.C. is now accepting applications to their apprenticeship program. Application packets are available Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, on normal business days at the Local 440 J.A.T.C. Office located at 3747 S. High School road Indianapolis, IN 46241.
New Scholarship Info added 09/28/17:
The Veterans of Foreign Wars "Voice of Democracy" scholarship is now available. The 2017-2018 theme is "American History: Our Hope for the Future". This is open to students in grades 9-12. The deadline for submission is October 31st. If you want to learn more, please come pick up a packet in the Guidance Office.
The Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship is now available online at http://in.gov/che/4680.htm. If you are interested in attending college to become a teacher, look at the scholarship qualifications online.
The AMDA is accepting applications for students interested in attending their school. Their individual scholarships range from $1,000 - $18,000 and are awarded based on talent, merit, academic excellence, and financial need. Please visit https://www.amda.edu/ to learn more.
The Indiana Commission for Higher Education is pleased to announce the Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarshipapplication opens September 1, 2017. As you may remember, the scholarship provides 200 high-achieving high school and college students interested in pursuing a career in education the opportunity to earn a renewable scholarship of up to $7,500 each year for four academic years. In exchange, students agree to teach for five years at an eligible Indiana school. Students interested in applying must have a teacher complete a nomination form and upload the nomination form in their online application through ScholarTrack. Applications are due by 11:59pm EST on November 30, 2017.
In addition to informing your students of this scholarship, we are also looking to recruit educators, administrators, and community partners to serve as interviewers for the selected finalists. In order to select the final 200 recipient of the scholarship, the Commission will interview finalists at seven regional locations over three weekends in February. Current educators are eligible to receive one Professional Growth Point for each hour they participate in the interview.

Scholarship Opportunity through Vivint Smart Home
Scholarship details can be found at www.vivint.com/scholarship. The following universities have shared this opportunity with their students so far: Florida International University, University of Kansas, Iowa State University, Wichita State University and Grand Valley State University.
- · Student must be a high school senior or college student, and a legal resident of the United States
- · Student must be enrolled in school no later than September 30, 2017
