2023 Local Scholarship Opportunities
General Scholarship Opportunities
- The Don Pelkey Kiwanis Memorial Scholarship application is now available in the guidance office. This is a $500 scholarship given to a graduating senior who has excelled in leadership, scholarship, and community service. The deadline for this scholarship is 3:00 p.m. in the guidance office on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
- Co-Alliance Cooperative Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship for a graduating senior planning to pursue an agricultural degree in college. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2023. Applications are available online.
- The Southeastern Indiana REMC is awarding three $500 scholarships to eligible graduating seniors. Applicant requirements include: parent/legal guardian of the applicant must be a member of the Southeastern Indiana REMC, the applicant must be a 2023 graduating senior, and the recipient must enroll in post-secondary education as a full-time student in the Fall of 2023. Submit applications online by March 1, 2023 at this link.
- The Sallie Mae Fund's Bridging the Dream scholarship program for high school seniors is now available online until March 27, 2023. To learn more, please visit The Sallie Mae Fund page.
- The Indiana Oil & Gas Association scholarship is now available in the Guidance Office. This is for a graduating senior that plans to attend college in the fall pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry, (preference given to someone earning a degree in: earth sciences, petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, or geology) and a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale. Applications must be postmarked by April 1, 2023.
- The Indiana Sheriff's Association application is now available in the guidance office. Applicants must be committed to pursuing an education and career in a law enforcement field at an Indiana college or university, the applicant must be a current member of the association or a dependent child/grandchild of a current member of the association, and they must enroll as a full-time student. All applications must be mailed in by April 1, 2023.
- The United Producers, Inc. is offering ten $1,500 scholarships to graduating high school students. Applicants must be a member, child/grandchild of a UPI member, or nominated by a member. Applicants must be a 2022 high school graduate planning to attend college or a technical school. Applications are due by April 1, 2023, and they are available online.

- The Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust, Inc. is currently accepting applications for the Nancy Janes Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship, up to $2,500 towards college or post-secondary technical schooling, is awarded to an Indiana high school senior whose parent is battling breast cancer or who has lost a parent to breast cancer. The deadline is on February 10, 2023.
- SEI Communications is offering (eight) $500 scholarships to students who reside with a member of Southeastern Indiana Rural Telephone Cooperative or with a customer of SEI Data, Inc. Eligibility criteria include: GPA of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale, 2023 graduating senior, and must reside with a parent or legal guardian who is a customer of SEI Communications as of February 1, 2023. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and must be received by SEI Communications on or before April 10, 2023, at 4:30 p.m.
- The Zimmer Tractor Scholarship is now available to apply. This $200 scholarship is awarded to an active FFA or 4-H member that is pursuing an agriculture related education. If no such applicant exists, then the winner will be chosen from any eligible active FFA or 4-H senior who applies. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and must be postmarked by March 5, 2023.
- The Schneck Foundation Allied Health Scholarship application is now available online and in the Guidance Office. This scholarship is geared towards students interested in pursuing a course of study in a technical/professional career in healthcare. Spring Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarships Available March–June
- American College Foundation Visionary Scholarship
- The Bartholomew County Conservation Council, Inc. - Bill Newton Scholarship is a $1,500 award given to a senior that plans to attend a four-year academic or technical or two-year associate level program. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline to apply is April 30, 2023.
- The E.S. Witchger School of Engineering Scholarship through Marian University is now available online.
- The Judy M. James Memorial Scholarship is a non-renewable $1,000 scholarship for graduating seniors. The applicant must be a member of the Bar-Cons Federal Credit Union prior to March 31, 2022. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for submission is March 31, 2023.
- The PB&J Scholarship is for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform academically but still have the drive to succeed. Deadline for this scholarship is on May 31, 2023.
- Student View Scholarship - Deadline is April 23, 2023.
