Upcoming Events

  • The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student's tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. To learn more about this scholarship opportunity, please visit: https://coolidgescholars.org/
  • The Foot Locker Scholar Athletes scholarship has a value of $20,000, and there are 20 awards available. The deadline to apply is December 14, 2018. For more information, please visit the StudentScholarships.org website.
  • The Proud Scholars program has a scholarship window from November 1 through March 1 for students that identify as LGBT and are between the ages of 17-24. To access the application, please visit the Proud Scholars website.
  • We the Students Essay Contest is now available online. The deadline is February 14, 2019.
  • 2019 Hammett, Bellin & Oswald Law & Justice Scholarship is for all first-year college freshman who will be attending an accredited college/university during the 2019–2020 school year (current seniors). Applicant must enroll in and plan to attend a college/university during the 2019–2020 school year, proof of enrollment to an accredited college/university, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. The application deadline is May 31, 2019. They will not consider late and incomplete applications. Award amount is $750. For more information, visit the Hammett, Bellin & Oswald, LLC website.
  • The Hagan Scholarship Foundation has released the Hagan Scholarship for 2018–2019. You must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 or higher, 23 or higher on ACT/1150 or higher on the SAT, and have an EFC of less than $6500. To learn more please, visit the Hagan Scholarships website.
  • Davenport University has many scholarships available to students who plan to attend. Please visit the Davenport University website to learn more.
  • If you are a senior that plans to attend Indiana State University to major in business. Please send Ms. Cardinal in the Guidance Department an email. There may be an opportunity for you to receive full-tuition if you qualify.
  • The United Producers, Inc. is offering scholarships to graduating students who plan to pursue agricultural careers. To learn more about eligibility, please visit Miss Cardinal in the guidance office. You must postmark your application by April 1, 2019. Applications are available in the guidance office. 
  • Business Global is a two-week program for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in experiencing the intersection of business, language, and culture. This experience runs from July 7–20 at Indiana University. Application deadline is April 10, 2019. You can apply online at the Kelley School of Business website.
  • The 2019 Student-View scholarship is now available online at the StudentView website. Scholarship deadline is April 22, 2019.
  • The Enhanced Telecommunications Corporation scholarship application is now available in the guidance office. This is open to any graduating senior. Application deadline is Friday, March 29, 2019. 
  • The Foundation for Rural Service scholarship is now available in the guidance office. This is open to a graduating senior who has received acceptance to an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school, and has at least a "C" GPA. Applications deadline is March 1, 2019.
  • The 2019 Rosen & Ohr Annual Essay Scholarship Contest is now available. The student must write an essay explaining in detail how a serious accident involving you, a family member, or a close friend has impacted your life. This could have been a car crash, a slip-and-fall accident, a work-related injury, or any other serious accident. To access the contest, please visit the Rosen & Ohr website.
  • The Bar-Cons Federal Credit Union is offering the Judy M. James $1,000 scholarship. Applications are available until March 31. The high school senior must have been a member of the Bar-Cons FCU for at least one year prior to the scholarship application deadline. For more information, please stop by the guidance office.
  • The Southeastern Indiana Recycling District invites seniors to apply for their Students Making an Environmental Difference scholarship. The SEIRD office must receive applications by Monday, April 1 by 3:00 p.m. Eligibility criteria and scholarship information is available in the guidance office.
  • 2019 Mesothelioma Help Cancer Scholarship. If you would like to learn more, please visit mesotheliomahelp.org.

Fall Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships Available September-November

  • Bartholomew County REMC Scholarship – Established by the Bartholomew County REMC in recognition of the value of education and the desire to assist area students in their educational achievements.
    • Criteria: This scholarship is for residents of Bartholomew County, or members of any Bartholomew County REMC household from Decatur, Jackson, or Jennings counties, who plan to attend an accredited post-secondary institution in pursuit of a technical certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree. Applicant must have a high school or college GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or 5.0 on a 12.0 scale. We will consider academics, school activities, and community involvement.
  • The Imagine America High School Scholarship is for high school seniors planning to attend a career school participating in the Imagine America High School Scholarship Program. Seniors GPA must be over 2.5 and enroll in a participating school. To learn more, please visit the Imagine America Scholarship page.
  • The Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America (LEDA) is a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to identifying and developing the academic and leadership potential for exceptional public high school students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.   • QuestBridge is a nationally recognized nonprofit that connects high-achieving, low-income students to full four-year scholarships colleges such as Stanford, Yale, Amherst, and Duke. Please visit the QuestBridge website to learn more.

Winter Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships Available December-February

  • The Ronald McDonald House Charities scholarships are open to high school seniors who are planning to attend a two-or four-year college, university, or technical/vocational school with a full course of study. Applicants are evaluated on financial need, community involvement, essay content, and academic achievement. Please visit the Ronald McDonald House Charities website to learn more. The deadline to submit your application is January 17, 2019.
  • The Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship through the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust, Inc. (IBCAT) is now accepting applications. This $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a high school senior whose parent is battling breast cancer or who lost a parent to breast cancer. The application deadline is on January 25, 2019.   • ESA Foundation applications for 2019-2020 academic year scholarships are open. Applications are due on February 1, 2019 (11:00 p.m. MT). All students will be notified whether or not they received a scholarship for the 2019-2020 academic year in May 2019. Sign up for reminders when scholarship application deadlines are approaching.   • Zimmer Tractor is offering a $100 scholarship to an active FFA or 4-H member that is pursing an agriculture related education. If no such applicant exists, then the winner will be chosen from any eligible active FFA or 4-H senior who applies. Applications are available in the guidance office. Applications must be postmarked by February 1, 2019.
  • The North Vernon Kiwanis Memorial Scholarship application is now available in the guidance office. The deadline for submission is on Friday, February 8, 2019. Please come to the guidance office to get an application.
  • The Indiana Association of Educational Office Professionals, Inc. (Indiana A.E.O.P) is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior that has completed two or more business related courses and has a 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Deadline for submission is February 10, 2019. Applications are available in the guidance office.
  • WACE, on behalf of the nine WACE Partner Institutions, is pleased to announce and sponsor its seventeenth annual national co-op scholarship program. These merit co-op scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and transfer students who plan to participate in college cooperative education at one of our partner institutions. Spring Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships Available March–May

  • The Indiana ADA and Title VI Coordinators' Association would like to announce a new scholarship this year! The student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and must be going into a degree that's associated with the American with Disabilities Act or special need including, but not limited to, education, medicine, speech/hearing therapy, engineering, architecture, nursing, physical therapy, occupational medicine, and so on. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline for submission is March 1, 2019.
  • The Indiana Association of School Psychologists (IASP) is proud to support the next generation of their profession by offering scholarships to encourage and help support future school psychologists. IASP awards a total of three scholarships each year: one to a graduating high school senior interested in pursuing a career in psychology and two to graduate students in school psychology.   • The Schneck Foundation Allie Health Scholarship is available in the guidance office. The online application is open starting on January 15, 2019. Please visit the Schneck Foundation website after January 15 to access the application. Application packets must be turned in no later than March 15, 2019.
  • The SEI Data Scholarship is now available in the guidance office. GPA must a 2.75/4.0 or higher and parent or legal guardian must be a customer of SEI Data, Inc. Applications must be received by April 12, 2019.
  • The Southeastern Indian Rural Telephone Co-op, Inc. Scholarships are now available in the guidance office. GPA must a 2.75/4.0 or higher and parent or legal guardian must a member/customer of Southeastern Indiana Rural Telephone Co-op. Applications must be received by April 12, 2019
